My Happy Planner has a section at the start of each month where you can reflect on various aspects of your spiritual life. I don’t always fill it out, but this month I had a lot on my heart that I wanted to document.
I’m sharing my answers here to hopefully encourage you to apply what you read in the Bible to the way you process the stuff of life. I know it’s easy for me to do my daily Bible reading and move on with my day. When I connect what I read to what’s going on around me, I find the life and peace Romans talks about!
Meditating On: Romans 8:6 “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Rejoicing In: Nehemiah 9:33 “Yet you (God) have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully.”
Blessed By: People who encourage and challenge me with Biblical thinking!
Where My Heart Is: Asking God to make me desperate for Him – instead of relying on my own strength. Relying on my own strength is exhausting!
Trusting God In: Knowing that His love for me is perfect, yet the goal of His love is to make me more like Jesus. He doesn’t desire that I’m comfortable and happy. He wants to sanctify me!
Learning To Be Patient With/Finding Hope In: Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Area Where I Need Extra Help: Choosing to let my emotions be controlled by Biblical truth instead of by my circumstances. (See Romans 8:6 above)
One of the ways you can set your mind on the Spirit is by reading a chapter of Proverbs each day. There were over 40 of us that read through Proverbs together last month, and it was such a blessing!
If you would like to read with me this month, you can join my group here. If you were a part of last month’s group and want to do it again, I would love that too!
The Happy Planner sounds neat! I’ve been meaning to check them out. And bonus that there’s inspiration for reflections!
