Isn’t that stunning? Paul had a work trip at the beginning of the week and I got to tag along. I’m always ready for a trip with these kinds of views!
This trip took us to Wise, Virginia – the western corner of the state that’s tucked in between Kentucky and Tennessee.
We weren’t too far from where my parents live, so my Mom drove over to spend the day with me! We had the best time, lunching and shopping…and freezing! My Mom has a few more pictures from the day on her blog, too – check it out here. 🙂
It was such a beautiful, freezing cold day – see those snow-covered mountains?
Of course it was a little bit colder for Paul, who spent his day on the lacrosse field. 🙂
We spent the night with my parents, and Mom served this restaurant worthy french toast for breakfast. It was amazing!
I think Thelma Lou is trying to tell me something. 🙂 They are not fans of being left home alone! We’re home now, and I’m looking forward to a productive weekend. I have big plans to work on our taxes, switch out my spring clothes and rearrange some decor in the living room. What about you?

What a fun trip! I love to tag along for my husband’s work trips. We have one coming up in April. That’s really neat that you got to see your family, too. That is such a good picture of your mom. I haven’t made french toast in ages, but now i’m craving it after seeing that berry topped french toast. Yum!

I just love a good road trip! I try to accompany my husband on his work trips whenever I can and was just informed we’ll most likely have one next month to Ohio and Illinois.
