Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope that you’ll take a minute to look back over your week and reflect on the good moments. Here are my highlights from this week!

#1 Hydrangeas are in full bloom here! I love seeing them in everyone’s yards while I’m driving around town.

Confession: Any time I see a blooming hydrangea at an abandoned house (or a house that looks like the people who live there don’t care about the flowers in their yard), I’m tempted to sneak up there with some shears and cut a few blooms off for myself! 🙂 Don’t worry, these are from Trader Joe’s.

#2 My sister came for a 24 hour visit last weekend! We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Bleu Porch Kitchen (one of my local favorites) and hit a few of our favorite stores, but the best part is just sitting and catching up on all the things.

#3 While Alli was here we got to visit our brand new Duck Donuts! That place is a donut lover’s heaven. I think my favorites were the cinnamon and sugar, the chocolate with raspberry and the peanut butter with chocolate.

#4 The weather has been amazing for over a week! I cannot believe that we’ve had temps in the 60’s and 70’s. In June. In South Carolina. It’s wonderful! We’ve been able to enjoy outdoor dining at two restaurants, which is normally impossible this time of year.

#5 Of course a huge highlight this week was the completion of our house painting project! It took several weeks to get everything done in between rainy days – but it was worth the wait!

Father’s Day is this weekend, but if you’re still looking for a gift idea I have a couple suggestions. I love Dayspring.com for meaningful gifts any time, not just Father’s Day. Here are some of my favorites:

Experiencing God Book and Perpetual Calendar

A Faithful Man Journal

Masculine Scripture Cards: I like to keep cards like these on hand in case my husband needs to write a thank you card or note to someone.

Baby’s First Christmas Ornament: This isn’t a Father’s Day idea – but I love giving these ornaments as baby shower gifts! The back of the ornament has James 1:17, “Every good gift is from above.”

Have a lovely weekend, friends!

  1. I have enjoyed the weather this week too. I love hydrangeas and tried to grow them, but didn’t succeed. We are about to undertake a major backyard landscaping project so when that’s done maybe I will try again.

  2. I love your list! Your front door makes me smile. I’m thinking of painting mine too. But time with a sister tops them all! I was blessed to see both of my sisters this week! We had not seen each other since Christmas and I think that’s probably the longest we’ve ever gone. ☺️
    Have a nice weekend!
