We kicked off our Christmas celebration early in December with back to back Christmas programs! One of our favorite local theatres put on a wonderful program that made me feel like I was one of the shepherds longing for the Messiah’s arrival.
The next day we enjoyed, as always, the beautiful and uplifting music at our church Christmas program. It was such a great way to prepare our hearts for the rest of the month.

Moving on to Christmas Eve, which we spent with my family in Tennessee…
My mom had several fun things planned! We started the afternoon with our first annual Christmas cookie decorating contest. Everyone got in on the fun, and we Facetimed with my Nana who chose the winning entries.

My cookies are entry #6 – but my sister won first place (#3) and my dad took second place (#5). It was so much fun!

My sister and I played a few Christmas duets (with some help from the cute nephews), my Dad read Scripture, we played games, ate delicious food and then opened presents!

My nephews are the sweetest little guys – but give them nerf guns and they are ALL boy. It’s so cute! 🙂 The Nerf guns were Paul’s idea and were a huge hit. Literally. LOL.

Christmas morning we woke up to several inches of SNOW! We almost didn’t make it over to my sister’s house for brunch, but thankfully we did. It was delicious!

Christmas dinner was delicious! My mom made sure there was something for everyone – even the picky eaters. She made the sweetest snowglobe place cards that we all got to take home as keepsake ornaments. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented.

After supper, we had fun with some photo booth props I found at Dollar Tree!

This Christmas left me feeling undeservingly grateful. God was so kind to not only keep us all healthy so we could have HamFam Christmas, but to give us a white Christmas that semi-snowed everyone in for an extended celebration!
My maiden name is Cunningham, so we call all our family celebrations HamFam holidays! 🙂

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 1:3 My dad read that verse on Christmas Eve and it points to the hope that we all have no matter how your Christmas went.
My heart hurts for those of you who weren’t able to spend Christmas with your family. If you’re hurting, disappointed or lonely today, I pray you’ll find comfort in the promise of Christmas – Emmanuel. God is with us. As my brother in law prayed on Christmas Eve, we can be content in Jesus, needing nothing but Him!
