High Five For Friday, Snow and Thin Mints…

High Five For Friday
It’s Friday. What a crazy week! Here’s what went down:

1. Sunday just seemed like a good day for a #sundayselfie. So we took one.

2. Its snowed on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday night. It’s all gone now. Winter in the South is just like that.

3. Paul came home with an arm full of Thin Mints (I may have hinted that local sales started last weekend). His exact words as he tossed me a box of cookie goodness were, “High Five For Friday that!” What a great man.

4. I’ve really enjoyed the blooms I arranged for my Spring Tablescape! So has Peggy. Ahem. #naughtykitty

5. For fellow lovers of the classic movie, you must check out “Everything I need to know about beauty I learned from Steel Magnolias.” Because we all know there is no such thing as natural beauty. 🙂

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. That is the best snow, you get to enjoy its beauty and then it is gone before it turns brown and dirty! I share your thin mint love. The best ice cream I ever had was at a shop that made homemade ice cream. It was thin mint flavored, my two favorites in one, ice cream and mint!

  2. Paul is so sweet to help you with your high five for Friday material 🙂 I have yet to spot any girl scouts so I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for them and their Thin Mints. Hope you have a great weekend.

    1. Isn’t he the best? 🙂 Go on the girl scouts website and enter your zip code…it will tell you when and where you can find cookies. Of course this isn’t always the best information for my waistline but you have to get them while you can! 🙂

  3. HAHAHA I love Paul quote! Hilarious! And yum for Thin Mints! Those are my favs, but I avoid them like the plague, because those little sleeves of cookies look like one serving to me. They are, right?? And while I do miss snow since living in the South, I do appreciate that it melts away fairly quickly! Hope you enjoyed your snow while it lasted! Have a great weekend.

  4. I love your blog! Here’s a super easy recipe for thin mints. Two ingredients: vanilla wafers and mint chocolate melting discs like the ones made by Wilton. Melt the chocolate, dip vanilla wafers in one at a time and allow to firm up on parchment paper. Enjoy!

  5. I have thin mints hiding in the freezer at work and at home. If I had a freezer in my car, there would probably be thin mints in there too. And I love our flash winter weather. In Michigan the snow would slowly seep out. Here the ice and snow go out as dramatically as they come in. I love it!

  6. So far we have not seen any girl scouts in our area selling cookies. My husband and daughter love Thin Mints. We keep them in the freezer as we like them frozen. Will check out the Steel Magnolias post….one of my favorite movies.
