March “comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb,” according to the Welsh proverb. I don’t know if that is always true of this month, but I do know I have a lot to say about March…so let’s jump right into the highlights!
1// Family, Food & Music
My Dad was able to come down one weekend (Mom was speaking at a conference) and attend a huge Southern Gospel concert with us. We had front row seats and enjoyed every second of it! The next day we rounded out the weekend with a delicious lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Nachos are always good idea.
2// The Best Yes Girls
This month we finished our weekly book club study of The Best Yes. It was such a great read (there’s more to come about that later), but the fellowship and friendship alone was worth the weekly time commitment. There were a total of six of us that met each week as we were able. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it!
3// Snow in March
It only lasted a couple hours, but we did have snow in March! Three days later it was in the 70’s. 🙂
4// Beauty and the Beast
We’ve been dying to see this movie since they announced it a couple years ago, and it did not disappoint! I still say the Broadway version is my favorite – but this was pretty fabulous. Have you seen it? What did you think?
5// Vacation
We were so grateful to have a few days to get away this month! Waking up to this view was exactly what we needed:
The lovely place where we stayed (literally ON the lake) had amazing views from every window.
There were some pretty great views on the road, as well!
And what’s a vacation without LOTS of good food? For Paul, that means eating at Pal’s once a day. For me, that means all the carbs. 🙂
Some of my favorite posts and videos from this month:
- Clean The Refrigerator With Me!
- Spring Clothing & Accessories Haul
- Why I Make My Bed Every Day
- Easter Pastel Tablescape
What was your favorite thing about March?

Looks like you had an awesome spring break! Food is a big part of my travels, too. I especially love visiting favorite restaurants that I don’t have in my neighborhood. There aren’t any calories on vacation. 😉 Beauty and the Beast looked interesting, but I’ll probably wait until it’s out on DVD.

It’s a great one to watch at home, especially since it’s so long! You can pause it and grab snacks or take a bathroom break. 🙂

What a fun week! Your vacation looked so relaxing. Love those lake views and all the good food you ate. Isn’t that always a highlight of vacation!?!? I’m so glad you enjoyed The Best Yes. I loved it and found that it applied to so many areas of my life. And your book club makes me miss being in a book club. I really need to start a new one!

Absolutely – without good food there’s no point of going on vacation. 🙂

Don’t get me wrong – it was full of struggles, too! It helps to sit down and reflect on the blessings. We had a lot of fun at the lake house!

Oh, I envy you that lakeside vacation! (And shame on me for envying you, when my hubby and I just returned from a short getaway at the ocean!) There is just something about a lake.
