February 2020 in Review

Believe it or not, we experienced other things this month besides rain! There were so many dark and damp days that it’s hard to remember doing anything other than carrying an umbrella and dodging pot hole lakes on the roads. 🙂 Here are the highlights from February:

#1 Snow!

I lamented in my January Review post that we hadn’t received any snow and mourned the fact that we wouldn’t get any this winter. Wouldn’t you know it – about four hours after that post went live, it snowed! Not only that, we had two more “snow days” in February! It never stuck to the ground and didn’t last more than a few hours, but it was so good for my winter loving heart.

#2 Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day combined with #refereewifelife meant that I traveled with Paul to a lacrosse game 3 1/2 hours away in Virginia. We had lunch in a cute restaurant before I dropped him off at the field – in 30 degree temperatures! I watched the game for about 15 minutes and then spent the rest of the day where it was warm. Inside. 🙂

#3 Sister Weekend

My sister was able to visit me for 24 hours last weekend and we had the best time! On Saturday we hit up all our favorite Greenville spots and fit in some new places, too! We did Trader Joes, Old Navy, Cottage Grove Vintage Market, The Oops Co. lunch at Willy Taco and coffee at Barista Alley. So much fun!

#4 Aladdin!

Back in November I snagged tickets to see Disney’s Aladdin Broadway Musical here at the Peace Center. They ran an amazing BOGO deal that meant we could actually afford good seats! 🙂 We both really wanted to see this show and were so excited. It did not disappoint!
