Enjoying The Journey

Celebrating 10 Years of Blogging!

I’m celebrating TEN years of blogging at Come Home For Comfort! I am so grateful that you’ve chosen to spend a little time with me over the last decade as we share our love of all things home.

My goal with this blog can be found in my tagline, “inspiring you to make your home a place of comfort.” I want to help women thrive in their home lives – no matter their stage or station in life. I believe that all women, whether single, married, with or without children, have a high calling from their Creator that can be fulfilled through their homes.

I have always enjoyed sharing the things I love – my faith, family, marriage, organization, frugal living, grocery shopping, time management and home decor. Here are some of the most popular posts from the last ten years:

For me, this blog also serves as a digital scrapbook. I have chronicled our family vacations, birthday celebrations, heartaches, and holidays. You all have been so gracious to love and support us through our adoption journey this year.

It’s also been such a blessing to read through the Bible together! I think this is the third year that many of you have joined me in reading the whole Bible in a year. If you’ve never joined, I hope you’ll consider jumping in for 2024.

Blogging takes an investment of time and money. I’m really grateful that you support my efforts by visiting my affiliate links and shopping in my Etsy store. The funds I earn there literally go right back into my blogging expenses, so thank you! ❤

The landscape of blogging looked a lot different ten years ago. I do miss the days of High Five for Friday linkups (anyone remember those?). So many of my blogging buddies have disappeared, although some are active on Instagram. Social media has changed so much in a decade, now being the driving force for all blogging traffic. This week on Instagram I’m sharing my favorite bloggers who are still going strong!

Would you leave a comment and let me know your favorite types of posts to read here? What would you like to see more of from me in the future?

Thank you so much for being here! I am so grateful for you. ❤

  1. Congratulations! I really like the variety of posts you make–keep it up! Thank you for sharing your testimony of God’s love and providence as well as the posts with practical tips for keeping organized with a schedule/meals/house/holiday planning. You are an inspiration! P..S. I prefer your blog to the stuff on Instagram. It’s more calming vs. I’m always trying to wean myself off FB/IG social media.

  2. Congratulations!! I had a lengthy comment written, but it vanished. I love “what we’re eating” and the recipes you share. Love all that you share too of a practical or spiritual nature. I enjoy your dollar store and grocery hauls, and your referee wife life posts too. Really, everything you write! Thanks for sticking with it all these years.

  3. Ten years is quite an accomplishment! I enjoy all your posts; especially anything to do with homemaking/organizing as this is my weak area at this season in my life. I would LOVE to have you post more of you playing hymns on the piano — I think you did a few. I saved them for a long time and played them and really enjoyed them.

  4. Happy Bloggy Birthday! I love reading about your organizing projects, holiday decor and party planning. You’ve done a great job blogging for 10 years and I’m excited to see what’s next. I’m so thankful that the blog world connected us. My inbox says we’ve been commenting and chatting about blog stuff since 2013. I love that and appreciate your friendship so much.

  5. Happy Bloggiversary, Whitney! I find your posts heartwarming, inspiring, and relatable. I LOVE them ALL but especially your seasonal ones. I’ve also enjoyed your YouTube channel and would definitely watch again should you return to doing those. Even my son used to enjoy your videos and would ask to watch them, lol! So, you have more than one viewer at our house! Congratulations and thank you for putting the time and heart in it.

  6. Congratulations on 10 years. I am so glad I found your channel and I enjoy all of your postings though I do love the cats the best.

  7. Congratulations!! I love your posts on home decor, time management, and faith. I’ve also found your organization tips extremely helpful!

  8. Congratulations on 10 years! I always enjoy your organizational posts, your grocery/Dollar Tree hauls and home decor posts. Cleaning routines would be great to see also.

  9. Congratulations on 10 years! I love home decor so I always enjoy when you share your home updates and decorations for the holidays. Happy Fall!

  10. Congrats! Ten years is a GREAT accomplishment! I like your organization tips and cat photos the best. Some of our favorite meals are your recipes, so please keep those coming too!
