There are so many hurting and needy people in my life – friends and family who are
- displaced or waiting out a hurricane
- waiting with a loved one in a hospital room
- dealing with the loss of a loved one
- facing another day filled with physical pain and suffering
- overwhelmed by increasing financial pressure
- hurting from the consequences of a loved one’s sin
I imagine most of you could add a few lines to my list, whether it is something you’re personally suffering through or something you’re watching a loved one endure. Today I just want to remind you that you are not alone and you are never without hope. Jesus brings us living hope – a hope that is not dependent on our circumstances.
Wherever you are today, whatever you are facing, I would love to pray for you and for the people who are on your heart. If you feel comfortable leaving their names or your request in the comments, please do that. If not, you are welcome to email me or direct message me on Instagram with your request. There’s nothing special about me praying for you – I access God’s ear the same way you do, through Jesus Christ. However, I want you to know that you’re not alone in your struggle today.
I wish we could sit down over a cup of coffee and share our burdens and struggles together. So, if I can encourage you by taking your request to the Lord, I want to do that.
With Love,
Prayer is so powerful! I truly believe it made a huge difference while my dad was going through his cancer. Although he passed, it helped him (and us) to bear the burden and look forward to better things to come. You are so kind to offer up prayers, and I’m sure that your prayers for my sister were heard. I’m more than happy to return the favor, so please let us know how to pray for you! 🙂

You are so kind to ask how you can pray for me! ❤ We just discovered that some potentially extensive repair work will have to be done on one and maybe both bathrooms. This is our first foray into home repair, so we're asking the Lord for wisdom and for help as we trust Him to meet our needs! ❤

I will certainly pray about your home improvements! Repairs can be daunting, but they usually work out in the end. This week the plumbers have been here to replace pipes in the basement, and they also had to pull up the toilet for a while. Knock on wood that everything is as it should be now. Putting furniture/things back and cleaning is now on the docket for the next few days. Will be praying that you find the best resources and people to complete everything! 🙂

There are definitely a lot of things to be praying for these days. We’ve been praying for big things like hurricane relief, Florida, Texas, our president, etc. in addition to the things that come up in our family. My SIL is pregnant after a miscarriage and her mother recently found out she has cancer again. She’s been really sick with her treatments so I know they’d all appreciate your prayers. Let me know if there’s anything I can pray about for you.

I am praying for your sister in law – one of those things alone would be a tremendous burden to bear! I’m so glad we can take our loved one’s burdens to the Lord. Thank you – my aunt’s husband fell 10 feet off a roof while working and has been in pretty critical condition for over a week. I would appreciate prayer for them! ❤

Jen – So many burdens! It can feel overwhelming to see so many of our loved ones as they suffer. I did pray for each of your requests. I always find comfort knowing that Jesus came to this earth and died alone on a cross so that we would never have to walk alone. He is with you – and with your loved ones – in their pain. Hugs!
