As I mentioned on Friday, I prefer online shopping in the summer. If I can grocery shop from home and then sit in my air conditioned car while someone else loads all the groceries in my trunk, I’m a happy camper! 🙂 Last week I did a small online haul from my local grocery store. I like to shop there for specific name brand items that we love. I wait until they are on sale and then stock up a little bit.
This is definitely different from my grocery shopping strategy this spring, but as I’ve learned from a decade of working hard to save money on groceries – nothing stays the same forever.
This summer marks five years since I first started making YouTube videos. I got my start doing weekly grocery hauls, so I went back to my roots and filmed this one that you can watch here!

The peaches/honey/pecan toast looks delicious! Definitely giving that a try this week! Also want to try the enchilada recipe and the turkey cups. I really struggle with cooking inspiration when it’s so hot out so thank you for the great ideas!

I struggle with it, too – sometimes it’s just too hot to add any heat to the kitchen. I hope you love those recipes as much as I do!

I just have to say I love your videos. They are very natural. It’s like talking to a friend.
And that bread is delicious with thick cut Smithfield bacon, juicy ripe tomatoes, and crisp lettuce with a little Duke’s mayo. That was lunch yesterday. It was entirely too hot to cook more than few slices of bacon here in Virginia. And it’s supposed to be over 100 again today. Stay cool, stay safe and God bless.

Thank you, Stephanie! That’s so sweet. 🙂 I bet you’re right – that bread would be perfect for a Southern BLT!!
