Recipe Success + Menu Monday

Menu Monday Valentines

Last week was such a success in the menu department! I made my BBQ pulled pork sliders for the Super Bowl and they were a huge hit. For dessert, I layered brownies, chocolate pudding and cool whip in mason jars and was so excited to eat mine that I totally forgot to take a picture! Later on in the week I tried a new recipe for Olive Garden Copycat Zuppa Toscana Soup that Paul absolutely loved. That’s a big deal because he doesn’t get nearly excited about food as I do!

I didn’t need too many groceries this week, so I stopped at Aldi for produce and then ran into Ingles to pick up the best deals of the week. Watch my haul below to see what I grabbed!

On The Menu

  • Cheese Grits
  • Eggs & Bacon

Lunch:

  1. I always look forward to your menu posts each week – they give me so much inspiration for my meal planning! And that mason jar dessert you made – oh my stars, it sounds amazing. Three of my favorite things in one jar! 😉 Sounds like an easy dessert that has a beautiful presentation. 🙂

  2. I shopped at my neighborhood Foodland this week as I only needed a few things and I did not want to drive into town. That dessert sounds yummy. I am one week into giving up sweets and I am realizing my sweet tooth was a very big part of my foodie life. Even yogurt is tasting good. I am eating it for breakfast as I usually had a granola bar and the ones that I eat are almost like eating a candy bar!!
