It can be easy to get overwhelmed this time of year, as you look ahead to all that has to happen between now and December 31st! Along with the normal stuff of laundry, meals, work and daily routines, there will be gifts to buy and wrap, goodies to bake, parties to plan, shopping to get done – if you weren’t overwhelmed before, you are now. Ha! ๐
I strongly believe that organization makes life easier. Over the next three weeks, I’m going to share 3 ways that organization will make the holidays less stressful and more enjoyable. They will be simple things that will benefit you in more ways that you can imagine. Here’s the first one!
Week One: Tackle The Clutter
START SMALL: This is not the time to reorganize your garage or overhaul the entire house. Start small by tackling one area that has gotten out of hand – a kitchen drawer, your night stand or even your planner stickers. You’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel!
HOT SPOTS: These are high traffic areas that get a lot of daily use, like the kitchen counter, your mud room, your purse, or the fridge/freezer. If you have a hard time finding a spot for things in these areas or if it’s annoying to put things away here, it’s time to declutter and reorganize! Most of these projects take 30 minutes or less.
GIFT AREA: Designate one place in your home where you will store all the Christmas gifts until they are wrapped. When you bring things home from the store or when they arrive from Amazon, immediately move them to this spot. It could be a corner of your bedroom or the floor of a closet. Once I decorate for Christmas, I use the empty decor bins to hold all my gifts before and after they’re wrapped!
If you tackle a hot spot or clear out some clutter, let me know! I reorganized my office desk drawer on Saturday and it feels so good. ๐
Very inspiring post today! Thank you!

I love setting up a wrapping station but always have a hard time deciding where that should be. Typically ends up in my bedroom which is not ideal.

It’s hard if you don’t have a place to leave it out all the time – I’ll have some tips for that coming soon! ๐
