5 Things on Friday {2.17.23}

Happy Friday! We got to celebrate one of my favorite holidays this week, and it was really fun to share it with our kiddos. All of us had fun posing in front of this festive photo area at the mall on Sunday afternoon – and it’s so nice to have willing photographers in the family.

Everyone had a heart shaped cinnamon roll and a little Valentine’s Day gift waiting for them on Tuesday morning. I spent less than $5 for each kiddo and just picked out something fun!

Over the weekend we made a double batch of my 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies. When they came out of the oven, we topped them with a heart shaped chocolate! They were perfect for gifting to friends and teachers.

My Valentine’s Day was even sweeter because my sister and her family were in town for the day! The cousins had fun playing together, we all went out to eat, and just enjoyed being together in person for the first time in quite a while.

Peggy LOVES all the cozy places she can find to sleep during the school day. She and Thelma Lou continue to live their best lives and are adjusting pretty well to the changes in our house.

How was your week? If your Valentine’s Day left you feeling a little disappointed, here’s something that might encourage you. ❤

  1. I was thinking about you last week . . . How fun it must have been to start some V-Day traditions with your children. Maybe new ones for them, that they will now remember.

  2. Don’t you love fixing treats for teachers and little friends? ❤️ I’m so happy for you guys that you have these little blessings in your life to share moments like these. And these children are certainly blessed to have such godly parents in their lives. I know it’s probably still a big adjustment for everyone, but you have so many of us “online” friends who are praying for you all. Have a great weekend!
