One of my favorite busy day crock pot meals is meatball subs. Usually I dump a bag of frozen meatballs and a jar of marinara sauce in the slow cooker and let it cook on low until I’m ready to serve them on toasted hot dog buns.

The rest of my crew likes frozen meatballs, but I’m not really a fan. I found a delicious recipe for slow cooker turkey meatballs that is so much better! I made these earlier this week and everyone liked them.

I used my large cookie scoop to make big meatballs so they didn’t dry out in the slow cooker. Instead of making the sauce from scratch, I used a jar of Bertolli marinara and added about 3/4 cup of water to loosen the extra sauce from the jar. I always use a liner to make cleanup easy.

If you’re looking for an easy meal to help you out on busy days, try these slow cooker turkey meatballs

Here’s a big list of the things that have been eaten and enjoyed by (almost) everyone in our family.

  1. I’m with you on the meatballs, Whitney! I prefer to make them if time permits, but the frozen are such an easy go-to for busy days. I keep a bag in my freezer at all times. 😁
Your chicken soup with the okra looks so delish! πŸ˜‹
