Let’s be honest. Summer is my least favorite season. The last couple of years I’ve found myself bracing for the heat, staying indoors as much as possible and counting the days until November when it’s cool again. I decided that this year I’m going to “play the glad game” (Pollyanna, anyone?) and look for things to enjoy about summer. If nothing else, it makes a huge difference that this year I’m working in a place with actual, functioning AC. Thank goodness – I literally carried a box fan around with me at my retail job last summer. LOL.
Here is my summer bucket list! (Updated as the summer goes on to show progress!)

- Visit my grandparents in Kentucky
- Meet up with at least one blog friend
- Plan our end of summer road trip vacation – this will be postponed until later in the fall #lifehappens

I also went through my pictures from last summer, to remind myself of all the good times I had…despite the horrid heat. 🙂 If you’re dreading summer for one reason or another, try making a list of the things you can look forward to during the next few months.
