Thanksgiving is next Thursday! I’m hosting my husband’s family at our house this year and will be extra grateful for the opportunity to gather with our loved ones.
I planned my menu weeks ago knowing that I would work in the office Monday-Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving and wouldn’t have loads of time to work ahead. I’m taking Ina Garten’s approach and not making everything from scratch!

Thanksgiving Menu
- Herb Roasted Turkey Breast
- Cornbread Dressing & Gravy – from The Bleu Porch Kitchen
- Southern Green Beans
- Brown and Serve Rolls
- Sweet Tea – from Bojangles
- Pumpkin Pie – from The Bleu Porch Kitchen
- Kentucky Derby Pie
I was really excited that one of my favorite local restaurants, The Bleu Porch, is offering their Thanksgiving menu to go! You can order turkey breast with three sides and a dessert for 2-6 people, pick it up the week of Thanksgiving and just heat it when you’re ready to eat! They also offer individual sides and desserts, which is what I chose to order.

If you’re local to Greer or Greenville South Carolina, I think the Bleu Porch Kitchen is a great option that will help you make your Thanksgiving meal extra special even if you’re not sharing it with the usual crowd of family members. This would also be a great thing to deliver to a loved one or friend who isn’t able to cook or leave their home on the holiday!
View their full Thanksgiving preorder menu here. The deadline to place your order is Monday, 11/23 by 2:00 pm.

No matter where you live or how you’re celebrating, I want to encourage you as always to make the holiday special for the ones in your home. Set a pretty table, play nice background music and enjoy the day!
Here’s a great passage to pray as you prepare: “That [our] hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

The Bleu Porch kindly agreed to collaborate with me on this post – all opinions are my own ❤
I love your tablescape – so pretty! I too am hosting Thanksgiving, and I too will be working in the office Thanksgiving week. I don’t have a Bleu Porch Kitchen (it sounds wonderful) but I do have a wonderful adult daughter and granddaughters to help me! Happy Thanksgiving!

I love that Ina tip! It’s so smart. Focus on making the things you love to cook and then outsource the rest. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving at home. It’s always nice to host so you are the one with the leftovers 🙂
